Freeing a ReadOnly documentor file

This can happen if the connectivity to the network is lost while the diagram is opened or if there is a documentor crash. To fix it the last person to have had it open in read/write mode (default mode) has to right click on the diagram from a Windows Explorer and choose properties and then mark it is not read only.

If that is does not fix the problem you need to login with putty as an administrator and change the permissions on the file.

Steps:

• Login as someone who has root or sudo permissions
• use cd to get to the directory with the diagram for example

cd /models/EEAR/FSM/V1/cal

• Change the permissions on the diagram file for example

chmod ug+rw fsmDiagram.dmm
