Overview Information
CanESS > Demography
CanESS relies on demographics information to determine the rate and extent of resource production and energy use. The demographic profile affects everything from amount of food required, GDP, emissions produced from transportation, and much more.
Implementation in the Model
The sub-models used to simulate demographics are contained under the Demography organizational node. It comprises 3 calculators: Population, Family Formation, and Households.
Interesting Reporting Views
- demography report (demogRpt - logged at demography) - shows information about the underlying population assumptions
