Steps for Creating a Calibration Diagram

Steps for creating a calibration framework:

  1. Prepare the simulation diagram
    1. Initialize variable history links in simulator - in the hierarchy tree or one calculator at a time right click and choose “Set History Links…”
    2. Adjust the history indexes by replacing simulation (time dependent) informants with calibration ones (e.g. ts with th)
    3. Handle binding link rules by setting them appropriately on the history tab
  2. Copy simulator diagram (that runs dimensional analysis successfully); rename to cal; change framework properties and directories
  3. Modify the simulation calculators in the calibration diagrams for running over history
    1. If any if $history clauses are used in the procedure boxes, preserve logic from the true branches and remove the else logic from the images in the calibrator. See Selective calibration - excluding some of a simulator from calibration
    2. Replace simulation (time dependent) informants with calibration ones (e.g. ts with th) in the calibration diagram.
  4. Create calibration calculators
    1. In the hierarchy diagram highlight the simulation calculators, right click and choose “Create Calibrator Calculator”
  5. Fill in all the calibration calculators to manipulate input data for the calibrator
  6. Run dimensional analysis in calibrator.
